ADADO - filter roast - washed ⚡️new crop⚡️

Roasted Friday 22nd October 2021

This coffee is processed at the Adado Washing Station. Small-holder farmers grow the coffee in the surrounding area near Yirga Cheffe in the Gedeo region of Ethiopia. Coffee is planted amongst the farmers' own food crops at high altitudes in rich, fertile soil. After harvest, coffee is delivered to a collection point near home, then taken to the washing station where the coffee is sorted for any under or over-ripe cherries, de-pulped, fermented, washed & sun-dried.

This lot is Ethiopia Landrace. Ethiopia has many thousands of indigenous coffee varieties, we've seen figures of between 6-10000. Some of these have names, there are indeed cultivars {Bourbon74110} & hybrid coffees {Ababuna} available. Ethiopian Landrace are coffees that have come from the coffee forests, these are domesticated, locally adapted traditional varieties.
