This coffee is processed at the Halu Beriti Washing Station in the village of Beriti, located in the Gedeb zone region between the towns of Yirga Cheffe & Gedeb. The washing station was established in 2014 & processes the coffee of 750 small-holder farmers.
The farmers grow coffee on very small plots of land along with their own food crops. These are high-altitude farms with fertile soil & mild temperatures that are perfect for growing quality coffee.

This lot is Ethiopia Landrace. Ethiopia has many thousands of indigenous coffee varieties, we've seen figures of between 6-10000. Some of these have names, there are indeed cultivars {Bourbon, 74110} & hybrid coffees {Ababuna} available. Ethiopian Landrace are coffees that have come from the coffee forests, these are domesticated, locally adapted traditional varieties.
