Kayon Mountain Farm is a large family owned farm. It has been run by Ismel Haseem since 2012. The farm employs a full time staff of 25 along with 300 seasonal workers during harvest.

There is a nursery on the farm for growing both coffee, shade & carbon crop seedlings. 

The farm is separated into blocks each marked by size, cultivars {& the date they were planted} , soil type, & altitude.

This lot is made up of two different cultivars, 74110 &74112. both are Metu-Bishari selections {named after the area where they were collected} chosen in 1974 for their resistance to coffee berry disease {CBD}.
