This coffee was processed at a Washing Station in the Kochere District. The coffee is grown in the surrounding area by 450 small-holder farmers in rich, fertile soils at very high altitudes. Coffee trees are planted amongst the family's food crops.
During harvest, cherries are selectively hand-picked before being taken to the washing station. There they are sorted for over or under-ripe cherries, de-pulped, fermented, washed, soaked then placed on raised beds to dry.
